Chess played on a 12x12 board.
12 by 12 Chess, as the name implies, is played on a 12 x 12 board, but with a regular set of pieces.
The bigger board opens up the game - the home-rank pieces have more squares to manoeuvre right from the first move.
Starting Position
The board is setup as a regular game, but inset by 2 ranks and 2 files.
Board is interactive - make a move
The moves of the pieces remains the same as
Standard ChessPawn Promotion
Pawns promote as normal when they reach the 10th rank. Therefore, Pawns advance as far as they would on a regular board before promotion.
Castling
Castling rules are as normal, but inset by 2 squares..
